Preview: Solution to baboon issue might come from above

MBOMBELA – The timber industry is considering using Google Earth to monitor baboons. The new technique designed to estimate damage and pinpoint locations, was discussed at a recent forestry conference by University of Cape Town researchers.

Baboon Matters, an activist group, is taking the trap, shoot and kill method to curb damage done by baboons in Mpumalanga plantations to heart, and is asking baboon activists to sign a petition.
