It’s all about family at Nou’s Toeka

Nou’s Toeka Wedding Venue, Accommodation & Events Centre is all about family. The Schoeman family wants all visitors to feel like they have a home away from home.

“It started as a dream, many moons ago and the dream was realised in 2003 when we bought the property,” said manager, Erika Schoeman.

For those starting a new chapter as a married couple, Nou’s Toeka will fondly be remembered as the magical place where their new life started.

“There were no buildings at the time, nothing.” But the dream was strong and the Schoeman family members rolled up their sleeves and got to work to make it a one-stop dream wedding venue.

All the hard work paid off when they were able to host the first wedding in 2005, and have since hosted many more. These have been recorded on plaques placed down the stairs leading to the chapel. Three more plaques will be added this August.

“These will be our first ever weddings in August,” said an excited Erika. To make your day as memorable as possible, the Nou’s Toeka team, consisting of Bertie, his father Danie and wives Anzee & Erika with their dedicated staff, will go out of their way to exceed your expectations.

The reception hall can accommodate up to 180 people banquet style. There is a cash bar available and fourteen sleeping units that can accommodate up to 28 guests. Nou’s Toeka also offers breakfast and dinner to overnight guests.

While the bridal party poses for photographs, guests can enjoy drinks along the Nou’s Toeka 200-metre-long riverfront. “We like to give the guests a change of scenery before they go to the reception area,” says Erika.

During this time, guests have the opportunity to marvel at the neat gardens, restored vintage artefacts and beautiful natural environment.
