Six suspects are still on the loose after Pieter and Tessa Els were attacked and robbed on their farm near Hazyview again last night.
According to a friend who helped the couple after the attack, the men entered the farmhouse through a window at about 22:15. Four of them wore balaclavas. The couple was tied up with steel wire and Pieter also beaten on his arms.
The suspects emptied the house, loaded the items in the Else’s vehicle and left with it. They also got hold of the gate remote control to exit the property.
Pieter and Tessa managed to free themselves and walked to a nearby lodge for help.
They were not seriously injured.
None of them could yet be reached for comment, since their phones were also stolen.
The vehicle was fitted with a tracking device and several security companies helped to search for it until last night. It was found in a nearby forest this morning.
The couple suffered from a burglary in February too.
